Family Letter - February, 2002
Lynn has moved to night shift where she works in the Critical Care unit at UCI Medical Center. This is her third weekend. She works Sunday and Monday 7pm to 7am. Two 12's back to back is rough. She did this so she could have weekends open when I am home. What a sweetheart! I am still pushing her to retire, but she continues to put it off. I know how she feels. We aren't quite ready to say we have our finances in order.
We move our boat from Long Beach to its temporary home in San Diego next Wednesday, the 6th. I am taking Wednesday, Thursday and Friday off. Lynn rests on Tuesdays so Wednesday morning we head out. This gives us Wed., Th., Fri, Sat. and part of Sunday before she has to go back to work. It is our first trip on the big boat so we are going to take it slowly. We plan to stop in Dana Point for the first night, then depending on how all systems are working and the time, we may stop in Oceanside on Thursday, or move on down to San Diego. We have time so we are playing it by ear.
We finished putting in our new kitchen sink and tiles. I will post the pictures shortly. Our front courtyard is almost complete and I will post pictures here when it is done. Until our old boat is sold, we will be scraping by and not saving any, so we hope it sells quickly. We probably should have waited on the courtyard project, but it took so long to get city approval we didn't want to have to go through that again.
That's all from us right now. Health is good, love is strong, families are close by. What more can you ask for.
Love, Lynn and Les
